Wedding Gift Blast: Crime Branch team starts probe from ground zero

Bolangir: A four-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Crime Branch led by Additional SP Anil Kumar Das continued with its probe into the mysterious parcel bomb explosion by visiting the crime spot at Patnagarh.

The team officials met the family members of deceased Soumyasekhar Sahu to collect more information in connection with the incident.

The probing team interacted with deceased Soumyasekhar's father Rabindra Sahu and mother Sanjukta Sahu over several aspects in connection with the case.

Sources said the owner of Skyking courier company through which the killer parcel was dispatched to Soumyasekhar and his wife Reema as a ‘marriage gift’ was also quizzed.

The team is also likely to meet the family of the sole survivor Reema who is currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.

Earlier yesterday, the team met  Bolangir SP and the IIC of Patnagarh Police station and inquired on several details related to the parcel bomb in which two persons were killed on February 23.
