Weather Forecast: Thunderstorm alert for 6 districts in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Department issued thunderstorm alert for six districts and advised people to remain alert till 6:30 pm on Friday.

As per the latest forecast, rain and thunderstorm accompanied with hail is likely to occur at Rayagada, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Ganjam and Kalahandi.

Official sources said strong and gusty winds reaching upto a speed of 50 to 60 kmphr will occur at these districts.

Regional Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar, there will be marginal drop in temperature as Nor’wester rains accompanied with hailstorm will lash several parts of Coastal districts in the State till April 12.

The intensity of rain will register an increase from April 7 and 8 in Coastal districts and hailstorm accompanied with gusty winds reaching a speed up to 50 to 60 kmph will hit several parts of interior Odisha between April 8 and 11.
