WannaCry attack: One more case at Titilagarh Utkal Gramya Bank

Bolangir: Even as a three-member team of the cyber cell of State Crime Branch reached Berhampur today to probe into the WannaCry Ransomware attack in the Berhampur city hospital, another such cyber attack was detected in Bolangir district.

According to a complaint filed by the bank authorities, computers at the Utkal Gramya Bank at Titilagarh in the district were found to be hacked. The entire operation in the bank has been paralysed and no services can be availed. The data in the computers have been encrypted and the hacker is demanding payment of $300 in the internet currency Bitcoin.

Later, the bank authorities lodged a complaint at the bank head office in Bolangir.
