Vizag traders attacked near Khurda

Bhubaneswar: Tension prevailed near Godiapali Chhak in Khurda on Saturday after two bike-borne miscreants hurled bombs at a pickup van in which four traders from Vishakhapatnam were travelling .

One trader has sustained critical injuries and shifted to the nearest hospital. It is suspected that the traders, who were on their way to Khurda to purchase goat, were attacked by miscreants with an intention of loot.

Though the pickup van has been partly damaged in the bombing, no cash or any other valuables have been looted from the traders of the neighbouring State.

Senior officials of Begunia police station have rushed to the spot and started a probe to ascertain the exact cause behind the attack.
