Bhubaneswar: Visitors at the Nandankanan Zoo in Bhubaneswar faced a tough time as the bus carrying them to the Lion Safari got stuck in mud for around 30 minutes today.

On receiving information, the zoo authorities sent another bus into the Lion Safari and rescued the visitors.

Nandankanan deputy director Jayant Kumar Das said, “It was a minor incident. There is a specific route to the Lion Safari. The bus was plying through the same route. The front wheel of the bus slightly skidded off the road and got stuck in mud. The driver called the concerned staff, who later informed us about the incident.
