Bhubaneswar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Odisha unit today demanded immediate resignation of Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh.

Speaking at a press conference here at the party office, BJP national secretary Suresh Pujari demanded resignation of Singh on moral grounds.

"Holding the office of Chief Minister by Virbhadra Singh is not good for democracy. BJP demands immediate resignation of the CM," said Pujari.

Earlier, Singh had filed a plea to quash a disproportionate assets case against him registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). However, Delhi High Court dismissed the plea on Friday, following which BJP has been asking for his ouster.
