Nayagarh/Berhampur: Two students, including a girl, were today rusticated from their college in Kontilo area of Nayagarh district after an objectionable video featuring both of them went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, the girl student has filed a complaint against the boy in the video at the Khandapada police station.
As per reports, the video was shot at the Gokulananda Tourism Centre in Sidhamula village of the district on February 17.
However, sources said the boy has been absconding since the day the video has gone viral. On the other hand, based on the complaint filed by the girl, police have begun investigation and launched a manhunt to trace the accused.
Khandapada IIC Bimal Mallick said, "Everything was normal between the two students until the video went viral. The girl had come along with her father to file a complaint and we have registered a case. The incident occurred on February 17 at the Gokulananda Tourism Centre in Sidhamula village here. However, after the video went viral the boy was found to be absconding. Efforts are on to nab him."
In yet another shocking revelation, another objectionable video of a Plus Two girl student of a Berhampur college was seen doing rounds on WhatsApp. The entire video was shot in a nearby forest by the boy himself while sources claim the incident happened on Thursday. However, no complaint has been registered in this connection so far.
