The local residents have termed the attack on Pujahari’s residence as a ‘conspiracy’ by few professors, doctors and post graduate students with vested interest.

Meanwhile, the VIMSAR director lodged a written complaint at the Burla police station later in the day.

It is alleged that Pujahari’s recent sting operation against few doctors of VIMSAR as part of his claims to bring in reforms has not gone down well with his opponents.

Pujahari had earlier cracked a whip on erring VIMSAR doctors who were doing practice privately during their duty hours. He had caught two doctors ‘red handed’ in two separate sting operations.

Subsequently, associate Professor Gautam Satpathy on July 17 was placed under suspension for dereliction of duty.
