Cuttack: The State Vigilance will begin its interrogation regarding Disproportionate Assets (DA) allegations against arrested IAS officer and OSIC Managing Director Partha Sarathi Mishra when it takes him on a two day remand period starting today.

A Special Court in Cuttack had granted the Vigilance to take the accused bureaucrat for two days of judicial interrogation. The court has allowed permission for Partha Sarathi's counsel to remain present during the course of enquiry.

As per information six teams have been constituted to probe into the DA case of Mishra with each team headed by a DSP level officer.

The IAS officer was earlier arrested by anti-corruption wing of Vigilance on Friday on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income to a tune of more than Rs 5 crore.

A cash of about Rs 2.14 lakh was seized from his car subsequently leading to raids at his houses and offices.

Following his arrest the Chief Minister has also suspended him from his duties.
