Mohana: Vigilance sleuths on Sunday conducted raids at the official quarters of Mohana Rural Development division’s Executive Engineer Shiris Sahu here.

According to Vigilance sources, the anti corruption wing of the Odisha Police seized 150 grams of gold, Rs 3, 24, 500 in cash and some bank bonds during the raid.

Besides, the investigating agency also laid their hands on some incriminating documents and bank passbooks during the raid, sources added.

Earlier on Saturday, Vigilance had raided Sahu’s residence at CDA Sector-10 in Cuttack following seizure of Rs 1 lakh in cash from his car at Bhejiput toll-gate.

Several incriminating documents were seized during the search operation at the house of the executive engineer, sources added.

A 15-member team led by Paralakhemundi Vigilance DSP searched Sahu’s CDA house as well as his Mohana office simultaneously on charges of amassing disproportionate assets.

The Vigilance has valued the Cuttack residence of Sahu alone at Rs 1 crore, the sources added.
