Vigilance conducts raids on Balianta Tehsil Amin

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths today raided the property of Balianta Tehsil Amin Fakirmohan Jena on charges of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Simultaneous raids were conducted at five places including his office in Balianta and residences at Bhubaneswar, Puri and the house of one of his acquaintances.

The anti-corruption officials executed a search warrant issued by the Special Judge Vigilance and unearthed huge quantity of movable and immovable assets found from Jena’s possession during the searches.

According to the Vigilance Department sources, till now cash worth around Rs 2 lakh has been recovered from his house. This apart, he possesses deposits worth Rs 10 lakh as well as 17 plots and 3 houses including a duplex registered in his name.

However, the total assessment of his property has not been done yet as search is still on.
