Bhubaneswar: Special CBI court’s hearing on the discharge petitions filed by 4 accused in the Artha Tatwa (AT) chit fund scam concluded today with the verdict kept reserved.

The discharge petitions challenging the allegations levelled by the CBI were filed by former AG Ashok Mohanty, Model Preeti Bhatia, Jagabandhu Panda and Pramod Panda.

On the other hand, the CBI court rejected the discharge petitions filed by 3 accused in the Seashore chit fund scam. The petitions were filed by MD Prashant Das, his brother Pravat Das and middleman Shubhankar Nayak.

After the rejection of the petitions, charges will be framed against the 3 on May 4.
