Venkaiah’s 3D attack on Congress

Bhubaneswar: Launching a scathing attack on Congress and its leaders Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister and senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said the grand old party believes in 3Ds i.e defame, disturb and disrupt while BJP is moving ahead with only one D in its agenda- development.

“We follow only one D of development, but Congress believes in 3Ds (defame, disturb and disrupt). The prime work of Congress is to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is always working for the development of the country, disrupt the Parliament over petty issues and disturb people spreading false information on central government schemes,” Naidu told reporters here before attending BJP’s Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas programme at Salia Sahi slum in the city.

Coming down heavily on Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, the Union Minister for Urban Development said the Gandhi-scion loves only photo session with the people. “He usually forgets his assurance and promises after having a photo session with people wherever he goes. Be it the issues of Hyderabad University, JNU or farmers’ agitation in Maharastra or Madhya Pradesh, Rahul comes back home only after a photo session,” he flayed.

“Why did not Congress think of crop insurance and irrigation to farm land in its 50 years of rule while Modi introduced Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana only within three years in office?” he asked.

The Congress also came up with sharp reaction with similar statements against the saffron party. “BJP-led government is also 3Ds (deaf, dumb, deceiver). The three years of Modi government is the era of destruction (Teen Saal, Vinash Kaal)”, PCC president Prasad Harichandan said.
