Vehicle lifting gang busted in Sambalpur

Sambalpur: In a major breakthrough, Sambalpur Police on Sunday busted an inter-state vehicle lifting gang by arresting three of its key members and recovered 19 stolen vehicles from the gang.

The accused have been identified as Ranjit Prasad, Pramod Nayak of Dhenkanal and  Pradip Sabar of Koraput.

Addressing a press conference, SP Ahkhilesh Singh informed that earlier three members of the gang were arrested while two others are still absconding.

All the recovered vehicles mostly pickup vans, SUV, trucks and motorcycles were stolen from various parts in Sambalpur, Hirakud, Jharsuguda, Angul and Keonjhar.
