Bhubaneswar: The sub-divisional judicial magistrate (SDJM) court in Bhubaneswar today granted bail to the Uzbek woman who was arrested by the Commissionerate Police here for allegedly misbehaving with cops in an inebriated condition on July 24.

The woman was granted bail by SDJM court against a personal bail bond of Rs 30,000.

It is worth mentioning that after the woman’s arrest, police had found an Aadhaar card with Delhi address from her possession which put her identity in suspicion. Later, she was suspected to be a part of a sex racket run from a rented house in the Capital city.

The twin city police then, on July 29, summoned the owner of the house, a Kolkata-based businessman and asked to appear before them within two days for questioning.

However, the house owner sent his lawyer to the police today seeking more time which the police have denied and asked him to appear soon, said sources.

Police is planning to declare the house a “brothel house” in case of an unsatisfactory explanation from the owner, said sources.
