Bhubaneswar: There seem to be no end to the hacking of official websites of various government-run organisations and academic institutions in the state with a fresh case of hacking reported on Tuesday morning.

Raising serious concerns over cyber security in the state, the official website of Utkal University- www.utkaluniversity.ac.in was found hacked today.

According to reports, the official site of the government-run univerrsity was hacked by Faisal 1337.

Besides, the national flag of Pakistan with ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ and ‘We Are Team Pak Cyber Attacker’ written on it are also displayed on the homepage of the hacked website.

Moreover, ‘Greetz to: Pak Cyber Attacker-MaDLeets-Pak Haxor Crew-Pak Cyber Expert-Team Maximizers-Xploiters—PakBugs-AnonGhost-ZHC-Pak Cyber Army-The Hacker Army-And All Pakistani Hacker Team’ is also written on the website.

Access to the hacked website has now been blocked.

Utkal University Vice Chancellor Ashok Das said, "We have blocked the access to the website. The site will be live after the necessary changes."

When contacted Special DG Crime BK Sharma, he said “We have not received any compliant in this regard. However, we have got some information regarding the hacking of Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) website.”

“A Philippines based telephone company has hacked the website of OSSC. The company is not proving any information about its server.So we are collecting all information in a diplomat way,” Sharma added.

On April 20, the official site of Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) – ossc.gov.in – was reportedly hacked by Philippine Cyber Syndicate.

A logo of an unknown organisation with a tagline ‘Anonymous …We are Legion’ was displayed on the website.

Besides, ‘Good day Mr Administrator, we hacked your website security to deliver a message. We are Philippine Cyber Syndicate. We fight for freedom and equality. We hate government corruption. We stand as one to protect the cyber world against abusive people using our skills in hacking. Consider this as a warning’ was also written on the homepage of the hacked website.
