Opposition leader Jayanarayan Mishra hits out at ruling-BJD again, this time over lawlessness in Odisha
Boudh: President of Utkal Bharat party Kharavela Swain, today, expressed his condolences to the family of deceased farmer Ballav Dharei, who had allegedly committed suicide, at Jalpali village in Boudh district on March 15.
Swain inquired Ballav's family members about the circumstances that led him to take the extreme step. He also demanded that the loan of the family be waived and urged that the government will accept the farmer suicide incident.
Similarly, a two-member representative team of Navnirman Krushak Sangathan, under the leadership of Rajendra Kumar Mishra, also visited Jalpali village and paid their condolences to the family of Ballav. They also inquired about the incident from the family members.
It may be mentioned that Ballav had attempted suicide by consuming poison on the night of March 15, over crop loss and failure to repay loans. He was rushed to Sonepur District Headquarters Hospital, where he breathed his last on March 16.
