Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi on Wednesday suspended constable Shankar Behera after allegation were made that the arrested AT Group chief Pradip Sethi was allegedly using mobile phone while undergoing treatment at SCB medical college and hospital in Cuttack.

Talking to newsmen, the DCP said, “Constable Shankar Behera has been suspended after we received the some evidences. An additional DCP has been asked to conduct a detail enquiry about the incident.

“We will take further action after completion of the investigation,” Bhoi added.

Meanwhile, Chairman of SCB medical college and hospital Dr Sidharth Das, said, Sethi will be discharged from the hospital after the completion of his treatment.

“The doctor who is looking after can exactly tell about his health condition. He has been referred to plastic surgery department after he got a surgical problem. After the completion of his treatment, he will be discharged,” Das added.

Notably, Pradip Sethi is undergoing treatment at SCB hospital after he attempted to commit suicide inside his cell in Jharpada jail.
