Bhubaneswar/New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Thursday declared the result of the civil services preliminary examination held for IAS, IPS, IFS and other cadres.

Candidates who had appeared for the examination can check their result online on the official website upsc.gov.in.

Nearly 14000 candidates have qualified the civil services preliminary exam while close to 1300 have cleared the IFS prelims exam, sources said.

The Commission had conducted the exam smoothly in various centres across the nation earlier on June 18.

All the qualified candidates are advised to fill up the detailed application form (DAF) for civil services (main) examination (2017), online, a statement released by the UPSC said. Interested students need to apply online between August 17 and August 31 through the official website. The main examination will be held from 28 October.

Main exam for IFS will be held from 3 December 2017. Candidates qualifying in IFS prelims will have to apply for it between September 7 and 20.
