Dhenkanal: An unidentified man on Thursday dropped off a youth’s dead body at the Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital and vanished, sources said.
Locals have identified the body to be of Debadutt Behera of nearby Jubuli town area. Sources added, Debadutt’s body was brought by an unidentified person in an auto-rickshaw to the hospital at around 10:30 am. However, while the doctor was examining the body, the person disappeared from the spot without informing anyone.

Some local youths present in the hospital identified the body and informed the deceased’s family members and police.
On the other hand, the family members of the deceased have alleged it as murder. As per family sources, Devadutt went outside yesterday afternoon but didn’t return home.
“In the afternoon he went outside the house and did not return. We believe his friends who accompany him every day had killed him,” said a family member of Behera.
The Dhenkanal town police have launched an investigation into the matter.
