Puri: Senior BJP leaders Union Minister  Uma Bharati and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje visited Puri and paid obeisance to deities at the Srimandir ahead of the two-day BJP national executive meet that began at the Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

Uma Bharati reached the pilgrim town by train and went to the Govardhan Peeth to have a darshan and seeking blessings of Goddess Bimala. Later she left for the Sri Jagannath temple for the darshan of the sibling and presiding deities.

Apart from Vasundhara Raje, senior BJP leader Lalji Tandon also visited the Jagannath temple in Puri.
