Two youths drown in Mahanadi while bathing

Jagatsinghpur: In a tragic incident, two youths drowned while taking bath in Mahanadi river near Tarapur Tarini temple in Jagatsinghpur district on Monday evening.

A fire brigade team rushed to the spot and launched a search operation last night. Though the deadbody of one of them was recovered from the river today, efforts are on to trace the other one, said a fire brigade official.

According to sources four youths had gone to the river to take bath Monday afternoon. However, two of them, a Matriculate student and an ITI student, reportedly have drowned in the river.

Police are investigating into the incident.
