Two youths drown in Banshadhara river

Rayagada: Bodies of two youths were recovered near Minajhola Shiva temple in Gunupur of Rayagada district today. The identify of both the deceased is yet to be ascertained. It is suspected that both of them died after drowning in Banshadhara river.

According to reports, the youths had gone to the river to take bath and were later swept away by the strong current of the river.

The matter came to light after some locals found the bodies floating in the river and informed the fire brigade officials.

A team of fire fighters from Muniguda immediately swung into action and later fished out the bodies from the river.
