Two villagers injured in firecracker explosion in Jajpur

Jajpur: Two persons were critically injured during an explosion this morning when firecrackers were being prepared at a house in Malda village in Bari block of the district.

The injured have been identified as Seikh Matlub Ali and Seikh Mitiri of Muslim Sahi. The duo was making firecrackers at the house when accidentally crackers caught fire and the blast occurred.

The intensity of the explosion was so much that roof of the house was shattered and both sustained critical injuries. The injured were admitted to Jajpur hospital by locals.

After receiving information, police reached the spot and launched a probe.
