Boudh: In yet another growing incident of man-animal conflict, a bear mauled two persons and injured another at Bhagamunda forest under Harbhanga police limits in Boudh district.

Besides, a female bear and her two cubs were also killed after they were attacked by a group of angry villagers following the incident.

The deceased have been identified as Brahmha Bhoi and his son Sukant Bhoi of Bhaliapada village in the district.

According to reports, three persons including the father and son duo were attacked by the female bear when they had gone to collect firewood and Mahua flowers from the forest yesterday.

Madhapur forester and senior officials of Harbhanga police station seized the dead bodies of the three animals and further investigation into the incident has begun.
