Two minor girl students drown

Bhubaneswar: Two minor girl students drowned while taking bath in a pond in Belurihat village of Bhainchua panchayat of Balianta block on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar today.

The deceased have been identified as Liza Sahu and Kalyani Das.

According to reports, three Class VII girl students of the village had gone to the pond for a bath. While taking bath, Liza and Kalyani slipped into the deep waters. At this, their other friend informed the villagers.

Following information, the family members and the villagers rushed to the pond and rescued the two girls and rushed them to the Capital Hospital where the doctors pronounced them as brought dead.

Meanwhile, police has registered an unnatural death case.
