Rourkela: Two persons, including a youth, sustained injuries when a gas balloon tank exploded outside of the Uditnagar ground during Independence Day celebrations.

Seriously injured Mahasin Alli was admitted to the Rourkel Government Hospital (RGH) as he sustained injuries in his head and eyes. The intensity of the explosion was so high that the gas tank blew 30 feet away to the premises of the residence of the Rourkela Tehsildar.

After the incident, the balloon seller fled away from the spot. Police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
