Pallahara: Police arrested two persons in connection with murder of Bandhabhoi Girls’ High School lady teacher Muni Soy and forwarded them to court today.

The two arrested were Jagannath Dhibar and Tapan Pendoi. Sources said they killed the teacher due to past rivalry. Sources said main accused Jagannath Dhibar’s sister had love relationship with the nephew of Soy. The family members of Dhibar were not accepting their relationship and had a war of words with Soy over the matter.

Notably, Soy, a resident of Jamardiha had gone missing on December 13. She had left for Pallahara to withdraw money from bank but did not return that day.

On December 25, her scooty, sandal, Saree and vanity bag were found on the shores of Kakharua river in the district. On December 29, police had recovered the decomposed body of her near a stack of bricks on the banks of a river at Atanaka village in the district.
