Two exotic primate species arrive in Nandankanan

Bhubaneswar: Good news for animal lovers as two exotic primate species have been brought to the Nandankanan Zoological Park this evening.

As per the zoo sources, a pair of Red Hand Tamarin and a pair of Black tufted Marmoset have been brought to Nandankanan from Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

“Both the species are kept in quarantine for observation,” the sources added.

The species were procured directly and not through any exchange programme, the sources pointed out.

The two primate species are new to Nandankanan Zoological park as it had earlier other varieties of Tamarin and marmosets species.
