Two die, 2 hurt as car hits tree in Kalahandi

Bhawanipatna: Two persons of a family died while another two sustained critical injuries as the car they were travelling in dashed against a tree on NH-26 near Chancher under Kesinga police station in Kalahandi district late on Sunday night.

The deceased were identified as Basanti Suna (56) and her 10-year-old granddaughter Prabhasini Suna. A couple of the family-Balaram Suna and his wife-were admitted to the Bhawanipatna medical in critical condition.

The four had gone to Bhawanipatna to attend a marriage party. The incident took place while they were returning to Kesinga.
