Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, two persons died and nine critically injured when the Bolero they were travelling in overturned near Bhandaripokhari in Bhadrak district during the wee hours on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Dhania Singh and Mamata Mandal of Maitapur area in Baleswar district. All the injured were admitted to the Bhadrak hospital.

The incident took place when they returning home after hopping pandals in Cuttack on the Maha Ashtami of the Durga Puja. During their return, the driver lost control and the vehicle dashed against a tree near a Hanuman temple at Palada Chhak in Bhandaripokhari. While Dhania died on the spot, Mamata succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

Later, one of the injured was shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition deteriorated.
