Umerkote/Malkangiri: In a saddening incident, two bikers were killed and one was injured after their two-wheeler hit a roadside tree late last night in Umerkote.
The person riding pillion on the two-wheeler has sustained grievous injuries and admitted to a nearby hospital. He was later shifted to a Visakhapatnam-based hospital after his condition worsened.
The accident occurred while the three villagers of Khaandaa village were returning home in the motorcycle after attending the Basanti Puja at a nearby place.

In another incident, one person was killed and six persons sustained injuries last night when an autorickshaw, in which they were travelling towards Padmagiri to perform a ‘sankirtan’, overturned.
The injured have been admitted to the Malkangiri district headquarters hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the auto rickshaw driver fled the spot.
