Cuttack: The Orissa High Court today issued showcause notices to the CBI, State government and the Centre in connection with the agency sleuths entering the house of sitting HC judge Justice CR Dash late on Tuesday night.

Hearing a PIL filed in the HC, the court has asked all the involved parties to present the reason behind the move during the next hearing of the issue on October 16.

On the other hand, the HC Bar Association that was on cease work on the issue since Wednesday suspended its stir. The Association had earlier described the incident as an anti-social display of hooliganism and vulgarism and had demanded a judicial probe in the matter. The member lawyers said they will hold a meeting over the matter on October 19 to decide the course of action.

On September 19, a team of CBI sleuths entered the official residence of Justice CR Dash during its visits to the houses which former chief justice IM Quddusi had occupied earlier.
