Bhadrak: Two vehicles and 150 bags of Public Distribution System (PDS) rice, meant for mid-day meal, were seized by police during illegal trafficking in Bhadrak district today.

According to reports, the trafficked rice kept in an abandoned house at Trishalpur was seized while being loaded into the two vehicles.

However, the drivers of the vehicles and the accused involved in the trafficking fled the spot.

Meanwhile, Bhadrak Tehsildar, Civil Supplies Officer Uma Shankar Pati and Inspector-In-Charge of Bhadrak Rural police station are probing the case.
