Traffic disrupted as BJP youth activists blocks NH-55 in Tirtol

Jagatsinghpur: Vehicular communication came to a standstill on National Highway-55 at Sindhol under Tirtol police station in Jagatsinghpur due to a road blockade staged by the BJP Yuva Morcha in protest of a loot attempt and firing incident.

Large number of vehicles were stranded on both sides of the road due to the protest. Activists of the BJP youth wing demanded immediate arrest of all the accused involved in the incident and compensation for the family of the deceased, who was killed in the firing.

On December 19, some miscreants attempted to loot the house of one Dhaneswar Baral at Sindhol village. When the elder son of Dhaneswar resisted the looters, the latter opened fire at him and fled from the spot. Dhaneswar's elder son died on the spot.

Meanwhile, police have arrested three persons in this connection. Search is on to nab other accused.
