Bhubaneswar: Sikha Samantaray, wife of Barabati-Cuttack BJD MLA Debashish Samantaray’s brother, on Tuesday once again met the State Commission for Women (SCW) in connection with the mental harassment complaint she had lodged against the legislator.
After a discussion with the commissioner of SCW, Sikha said, “I have faith on the commission and I am sure I will get justice.”
When asked if the legislator is putting any political pressure on the issue, she said “I will answer the question at the right time.”
Notably, Sikha Samantaray had filed a mental harassment case against the legislator at the State Commission for Women (SCW) on April 5. She had also alleged that the MLA was not giving the money needed for the treatment of her husband.
Following the development, Debasis had also filed a station diary at the Badambadi Police station. In his complaint, Debasis had alleged that Sikha is trying to defame him because he did not to give some amount which she had demanded.
