Torn Tricolour seen flying on Dhenkanal Collectorate premises

Dhenkanal: A torn Tricolour was seen flying atop the Court Building on the premises Dhenkanal Collectorate, drew public ire today. Though the torn flag was seen flying till 1 pm today, the officials were completely unaware about it.

“A torn national flag atop the Collector office is an insult of the Tricolour. We oppose such insult. They are not able respect the national flag so what respect will Dhenkanal residents expect from them,” said Convenor of Dhenkanal Suraksha Manch, Priyabrata Gadanayak to OTV.

“Do they deserve to handle the administration of the district?” he questioned.

However, the officials reportedly changed the flag after public outrage.

Meanwhile, additional District Collector of Dhenkanal Jyotiranjan Pradhan refuted the allegation saying, “I am not aware of the matter.”
