Bolangir: A three member team has begun probe into the issue of tissue papers being found in a medicine strip in Bolangir district on Sunday. The team started the investigation from a private hospital at Tikirapada in the district.

The team was formed following an incident on Saturday where a woman of Bileisarada village under Puintala block in the district found tissue papers in a medicine strip instead of tablets.

Talking to OTV, the doctor, identified as Pradeep Panda, had admitted to his mistake and said he might have given the sample medicine in haste without checking it.

However, the regional manager of Zota pharmaceuticals had said the sample packet was given to the doctor as gift and the company should not be blamed for the carelessness of the doctor.
