Dhenkanal: Three members of a family were killed when the car in which they were travelling collided head on with a truck on National Highway 55 near Navbharat square under Motanga police limits in Dhenkanal district last night.

The deceased have been identified as Gobind Tripathy, his wife Monalisa Tripahty and their 25-year-old son Sourav Tripathy. Gobind was reportedly an employee of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).

As per reports, after arriving at Bhubaneswar Airport from Andaman Islands, they were returning to their home town Balanda under Talcher block of Angul district when the mishap occurred.
