Three of a family killed in accident in Angul

Angul: Three members of a family were killed, including a minor girl, today when a truck hit their bike head-on at Kantala square on NH 49 near Palalahada in the district.

The deceased trio, father, mother and daughter (10), have been identified as resident of Similipal village. They were on the way to Palalahada when the tragic incident occurred.

Following the incident, irate locals have staged road blockade by putting the dead bodies on road and demanding compensation.

As per latest report, police have taken the truck driver into custody and are trying to control the situation.
