Bhubaneswar: Three new Cyber Crime Police Stations were set up at Berhampur, Sambalpur and Rourkela, said a notification issued by the State government today.

As per the notification issued by the Home department, the cyber crime police station at Berhampur will have 10 police limits and Sambalpur will have nine while police stations in four districts will come under the purview of the Rourkela cyber crime police station.

The Cyber Crime Police Station at Berhampur will have jurisdiction comprising police stations in Ganjam, Berhampur, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Rayagada.

Similarly, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Sonepur, Angul, Deogarh, Dhenkanal and Boudh police stations areas will come under the Sambalpur cyber crime police limit.

The four police limits which will be under the purview of Rourkela cyber crime police limits are Sundargarh, Rourkela, Keonjhar and SRP, Rourkela.

Earlier, the State has one cyber police station in Cuttack.

In May, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had approved the creation of three new Cyber Police Stations.
