Three minor boys killed in lightning

Athagarh: Three minor boys of Megha village of Athagarh block in Cuttack district were killed when lightning struck them this morning.

According to reports, the three minor boys—Babul Samal, Satya Sahu and Gagan Sahu—were on a stroll on the outskirts of their village when rain came in suddenly. Finding no houses nearby, the three boys took shelter under a tree when lightning struck them leaving them unconscious.

After the rain subsided, the family members found the boys lying under the tree and rushed them to Athgarh sub divisional hospital where the doctors pronounced them as brought dead.

Sources in the village said the deceased were the only sons of their family.
