Thrashing of transgender sparks tension at Cuttack Railway station

Cuttack: Tension prevailed on the premises of Railway Protection Force (RPF) office located at Cuttack Railway station when more than hundred transgenders sat on a dharna demanding action against an officer who thrashed two transgenders.

As per allegations, a RPF officer asked for money from the two transgenders at the Cuttack station. When they refused to oblige, the officer beat them up.

To register protests, the transgenders along with their supporters staged a demonstration at the station.

The victims have filed a written complaint against the RPF officer.
