Techie drowns in Chandrabhaga

Konark: An information technology (IT) professional drowned while taking bath at Chandrabhaga sea beach on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Mansa, a resident of Bangalore in Karnataka.

Police said, a group of nine (6 girls, 3 boys) IT professionals, all from Mindtree, Bangalore-based software services firm had visited Konark. While taking bath in the morning with others, Mansa was swept away by the strong current of the sea. When she cried for help, one of the boys tried to rescue her. But he could not.
Later the local fishermen fished out the body of Mansa. The condition of another boy who was rescued by the fishermen is stated to be stable.

Police has registered a case of unnatural death.

Sources said, they all were undergoing training in the company’s Bhubaneswar centre.
