Bhubaneswar: A technical glitch in the helicopter has delayed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik' visit to Kandhamal district today.
As per the latest report, air engineers and technical experts have been engaged to resume the service.

Patnaik will visit Kandhamal district today to inaugurate a slew of projects. He was supposed to lay foundation stones and inaugurate various welfare projects in Daringbadi and Baliguda in the district.

Security was tightened for his tour. A total of 23 platoons of police forces were put in place. Nine platoons at Phulbani, six at Daringbadi and eight at Baliguda- have been deployed to ensure the smooth visit of the chief minister.

Meanwhile, police have detained four Congress workers on Daringbadi ahead of CM’s visit.

Notably, eggs were hurled at Patnaik during his visit to Mayurbhanj district to inaugurate various developmental projects on October 26.
