Teaching a lesson, girls thrash youth for catcalling, harassment

Balasore: Passing lewd comments and harassing girls backfired on a youth after he was beaten black and blue by two girls here in the district on Tuesday.

The incident occurred near Boita Chhak under Remuna block when two girls caught hold of the accused Babul Behera, a resident of nearby Rampur village and thrashed him.

According to sources, Babul had allegedly been catcalling girls near the Chhak and harassing them over phone.

To put an end to this, while on their way to Rasalapur College today, the duo caught hold of Babul and beat him up severely until he was rescued by the local villagers.
