Bhubaneswar: Even after the Odisha government withdrew the clause of compulsory submission of an affidavit to avail grant-in-aid facility, teachers, under the banner of Odisha School College Teachers' and Employees' United Forum, continued their protests in front of 57 Matric answer sheet evaluation centres across the State.

The teachers have alleged that except the omission of the 'affidavit' word everything has remained same in the notification to avail grant-in-aid (GIA).

"Just the word affidavit has been omitted. The government is yet to fulfil our other demands. Teachers will not get any benefit from it," said Golak Nayak convenor of the Odisha School College Teachers' and Employees' United Forum.

Meanwhile, School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra said that over 95 per cent teachers have already joined the Matric answer sheet evaluation process and no problems have occurred so far due to the protests.

Patra also reiterated that Matric results will be declared as per schedule.
