Berhampur: The ruling party in Andhra Pradesh, Telgu Desam Party (TDP) will enter Odisha to fulfill its ambition of becoming a national party.

Addressing the Vikas Utsav rally in here today, TDP leader and Union minister Ashok Gajapati Raju clarified that the party will extend its footprints in Odisha which would help achieve national party status. Keeping in mind the public opinion, TDP will devise an expansion strategy for Odisha, Raju informed.

“We have our alliances in NDA. So, we will be working with our alliances and key partners. We will be working with the people and we hope we will be a part of strengthening India’s federal structure. And this is how TDP will work,” Raju added.

Meanwhile, rejecting the likelihood of any threat being posed by the TDP, ruling party BJD’s spokesperson Sashi Bhushan Behera said, “The faith and hope of people on BJD and its supremo Naveen Patnaik is still intact. There is no chance of another regional party gaining a stronghold here.”
