Tata Steel starts export of Tata Ferroshots from Kalinganagar

Jamshedpur: Private steel major Tata Steel has started exporting its environment-friendly product Tata Ferroshots manufactured at its new facility at Kalinganagar in Odisha, to Europe, a company release today said.

The product has received interests from Far-East, South-East and Middle-East Asia, Europe and United States, it said.

Tata Ferroshots is granulated pig iron solidified by cooling in water. The end use of Tata Ferroshots is in electric arc furnaces, induction furnaces, cupolas, basic oxygen furnaces and foundries as a replacement of pig iron, scrap or DRI, the release said.

Its inherent properties lead to better yield, higher productivity and lower energy cost, it release added.
