Bhubaneswar: With an aim to strengthen the BJP party organisation at the grassroot level ahead of the 2019 elections, the State unit of the party today decided to launch a ‘Mo Booth Shaktisali’ drive across Odisha and passed a proposal regarding this along with two others at the State Executive meet in Baripada on the concluding day today.

Informing newsmen about the party decision, Prabhati Parida, BJP Mahila Morcha State president, said, “As BJP is focussing more on booths, party men will work for implementation of the ‘Mo Booth Shaktisali’ to strengthen at the basic level.”

BJP’s State chief Basant Panda stated, “Besides, party workers will stage agitations at the zilla parishad zone level for three months starting May across Odisha demanding the State government to sort out local problems at the earliest.”

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a tweet asked the party leaders to maintain the momentum gained after national executive meet in Bhubaneswar till 2019 elections.

In his reaction, Dibyashankar Mishra, BJD spokesperson, said, “The BJP government had promised to generate two crore jobs in three years. However, only 1.5 lakh jobs have been created in the period when the BJP assumed power in the Centre. They (BJP) have cheated youths and farmers of the country.”

Expressing in similar tone, Tara Prasad Bahinipati, Congress chief whip, said, “BJP government scrapped all the eight Central schemes initiated in Odisha by the Congress-led government in the Centre.”
